Batter up this Saturday, November 10th!
Come enjoy America's true favorite pastime: wiffle ball. Before you scoff, check out this video of one pitcher, courtesy of Home Run Derby. We were going to show you a video of 2006 NL Batting Champion Freddy Sanchez vs. a member of USPPBA (the United States Perforated Plastic Baseball Association, as if you didn't know), but someone took it off YouTube.

4 peeps to a team. Build your own or come solo / couple and we'll pair you with others. In addition to wiffle ball, we'll have a lot of other outdoor activities going on, including CORN HOLE, horse shoes, flip cup, bocce, and what ever other games we can round up. We suggest you bring lawn chairs if you're into the whole sitting not on the ground thing.
Also - a new staple to our events - feel free to bring business cards or flyers and we'll put them out on a table. A great informal way for some easy professional networking.
So, even if you don't want to play wiffle ball or can't come out for the whole afternoon, stop by for a little while. Great time guaranteed.*
In addition, we'll grill out and provide burgers, dogs, buns, condiments, water, and cups. We strongly encourage you to be a nice person and bring along a side dish - nothing fancy. Maybe a bag of chips, salad, or dessert. Not required.
Plus...beer! Hooray! We're getting a keg or 2. If you're persnickety about your type of beer, have a hollow leg, or you want something else to drink besides beer or water, it's byo. Once the kegs are tapped, they're tapped and we're not going on another run.
All this and the cost is only $10 per person ($40 per team) regardless of whether you play wiffle ball or not. Cash only, payable at the door.
Registration starts at 10 AM at Site One (where the Ohio County Fair sets up shop during Oglebayfest). Come early enough and you can help set up - what a deal! Tourney games will start at 11. The day will end when the people cleaning up get sick of your drunk behind.
This may not rank ahead of such luminary general world events as the discovery of fire, man walking on the moon, and creation of the first sandwich, but surely it is no exaggeration that it will go down as the super-est sporting related day in the history of the Milky Way.
