Great Pumpkin Massacres Recap
We'd like to thank everyone for coming out and enjoying both nights of OVConnect's 1st Annual Pumpkin Massacres. The turn out was terrific, we knocked out a lot of pumpkins for Boo at the Zoo - a very worthy cause, and we had a great time doing it.
Thanks from the Zoo
The Good Zoo asked that we pass along their thanks. Here are two comments:
- "I just wanted to thank you and all the OVConnect crew for the wonderful job carving pumpkins. I don't think any of you can really appreciate how much your pumpkin massacring meant to the zoo staff and of course the visitors. As I was making my rounds through the zoo each night I heard tons of positive and enthusiastic comments from the visitors. I even had people get out of the candy lines to get a closer look! Thanks again,"

- "I would like to thank you for the fantastic pumpkin carving you all did! The results were amazing, truly the most creative carving we have ever had! Lots of visitors stopped to take photos of various pumpkins as they made their way through the treat stations, and we had lots of nice comments. We had 10,607 people attend this 8-night event, and it was our best 'Boo' in several years. Thank you all so much for supporting the zoo. We are one of only about 12 zoos in the country that is self-sustaining, and events such as 'Boo' are simply not possible without a tremendous amount of assistance from volunteers like you. On behalf of the entire staff and animals at the Good Zoo, THANKS so much!!"

If we weren't so lazy (or didn't have day jobs), we'd do a better job of formatting these, or maybe even put them up on flickr. Alas, you'll have to settle for them in this format. If you took some pictures and would like to post them up here, please email us.

For the record, we don't know any of those women with the dragon.
