Wheeling Christmas Parade Help Out

Ello, ello:

The Wheeling Christmas Parade, or rather the Perkins Restaurant and Bakery Fantasy in Lights Parade as it shall be known this year, put up the bat signal. It's time to hop in the OVConnectmobile and spring into action.

What, you didn't think we had one?

We're looking to get 20 - 40 people to volunteer a couple hours during the parade to help out. We'll take you just for an hour or three.

Depending on what time works for your schedule, you'll be working in one of the the following areas:

• Route marshal - No that doesn't mean you can lead the parade into a brick wall like Stork in Animal House.
• Location marshal - This is to basically keep kids from running into the street or with scissors.
• Staging Area - helping set up, but there shouldn't be any heavy lifting unless you want to show up all the girly men, Franz.
• Pre-Parade event (that's down in the plaza - some pretty cool stuff for the whole family going on).
• Miscellaneous. Mmmm, miscellaneous help.

It'll be outside, so dress warmly, but you should be in great position to watch. Cocoa and other good stuff provided!

So come on down - it should be a great time, you're helping the community without having to dig into your pockets, and if you get there early enough, you can get a prime parking spot!
